Lumberjack?
I bought this oil to shave my head and face. As a shave oil, it is a heavier weight than other oils which is nice. Thinner oils don't lubricate as well and seem to use up more. I wet my head at the start of my shower, wash my body up and then re-wet my head. I shake about 4-5 drops into the palm of my hand, just barely rub the palms together to get it onto my other hand. Avoid the fingers. If your hands are like mine, all the oil would fill the cracks in my fingers leaving nothing to shave with. Shaving with oil is a little slower than soap or foam. You pull the razor along in a slower stroke. Otherwise, the oil makes the head/face feel sticky. I let the water run through the blade a few times throughout to keep it from clogging up. When done, I just rinse my head and face with some water and I'm done. Leaves the head feeling oily at first, but after patting dry, it's just right. Not dry and tight and not oily. As for the lumberjack scent, I'm not a fan of it. I'm not sure how Texas lumberjacks smell (do they have lumber in Texas?), but it's nothing like lumberjacks in the Pacific Northwest. It's more of a sage which is what might be lumber in Texas :) For more realism, you could add musky sweat, tobacco, and gasoline LOL! For me, the four stars is because I really don't care for the scent. I have other of TSE oils that I do like.

Does NOT smell like a car freshener!
I thought it would smell like some old pine tree car freshener from back in the day. It doesn't. Really fresh and clean for an outdoor scent. I like the little bit of citrus i get from it too. The shave oil itself is great. No probelms at all with this stuff.
